The main difference is scale and flexibility. Split systems typically heat or cool one room using one indoor and one outdoor unit, making them ideal for homes and smaller spaces. VRF systems can connect multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, providing individual room control and greater efficiency for larger commercial or multi-room buildings.
